World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost an item upgrade's gear score up to 700, and then add a final perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For instance, a perfectly rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't change much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the effort.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats like crit chance, attack damage as well as PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons also have a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Some weapons also come with a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a group. In some instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon upgrades on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For example, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. Upgrades to weapons will also alter the stats of their base. While this is generally an excellent thing but it can also have negative consequences as well. Upgrades can make things inaccessible, unless you're exceptionally lucky.

The ability to upgrade armor items to boost their performance. This will increase the defense base of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These can boost their strength and agility. Armor

A few armor upgrades can make the world of difference to your survivability. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, making it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the greater defense you have on your character, the more health you will receive from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

To improve your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game, and to unlock them all, you have to complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've done the main side quest and have completed the corresponding fountain and then you can speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. In general, you're looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to remain competitive in frigid conditions with a large group of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded to +20 defense to ensure you're able to withstand a rout with your friends.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll want to work on enhancing it to increase physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're a Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you wear for the final boss fight and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have some upgrades to your chest armor and helmets that permit you to sneak past some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, give a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. In addition, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to the potions.

Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount of XP. This can be obtained by making them on a table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion as well as the item upgrades's Rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI in which you can select the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll give you when upgraded. Trinkets can be upgraded once they are no longer needed and allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded between players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, then their secondary items and finally, other items of gear they will not be replacing soon (for example an earring or cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when choosing the items to upgrade. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should prioritize upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and helm.

After they've become unusable, trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1percent bonus. A re-upgrade, however, will destroy the trinket unless it is saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
