Recycled Items
Many of the items we use every day such as paper, glass aluminium, plastics and other materials can be recycled. Certain of these items are recycled into brand new products, like clothing and shoes, while others get reused to make construction materials such as steel and concrete. This reduces the amount of waste that we create and also reduces energy costs.
Before putting items into your recycling bin, it is crucial to know which items can be recycled and which cannot. This will stop you from creating a mess in your recyclables and making it harder for the recyclers to sort them. This will help you to recycle more and make better choices for new purchases.
Glass bottles, aluminum cans and jars are recyclable. Metals such as tin, aluminum, steel, and other metals can be recycled. Plastics like ice cream containers and soda cans are recyclable, as well as some plastic bags. You can also recycle some textiles, such as clothing and shoes, however they're not as widespread as the other items on this list.
Tin foil, window panes and wire hangers are a few things that you shouldn't place in your recycling bin. These items aren't accepted by curbside recycling programs and should be taken to a location or event that accepts household hazardous waste. You should also not recycle construction materials, paint or pesticides and fertilizer in their containers, as they can be dangerous to the environment and human health.
