single handle stroller Pushchairs
If you're on a budget and don't require a stroller that can double up as car seat carriers, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop comfortable.
It's also a breeze to push and feels solid in navigating kerbs or woodland paths. Plus, it's a dream to fold.
1. Babyzen YOYO2
The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation for being the ultimate stroller that is light, ideal for urban dwellers as well for jet-setters. This is thanks to its extremely nimble handling and fold which fits in an aeroplane's overhead luggage. The most recent version features independent suspension on all four wheels, made of Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate all types of surface and terrain'.
The YOYO2 frame base along with the curved fabric bassinet and 6+ month colour pack come together to create a stylish pushchair that's easy on the eye, with a subtle but elegant design and stylish branding. The base frame alone weighs just under a kilo and is so light you can lift it directly from the box (and do so one-handed).
The hood, as an example, snaps on the YOYO2 in a calm manner. It's also machine washable up to 30 degrees which helps avoid the stains that result from smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It can also be transformed into a stroller at 6 months using the YOYO connect to additional chassis.
2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore
Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great option for parents seeking a stroller that is versatile. It transforms from a stroller to wagon by simply turning the handle, which means parents can pick which mode they prefer on their adventure. The wagon can be used by two or more children from 6 months to 5 years old, and it comes with a spacious storage basket to accommodate everything you need on the go.
The Xplore comes with two canopy options that rotate from front-to-back, providing adequate sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than other wagons. This may not be suitable for long journeys or napping.
The frame of the Xplore feels solid and sturdy but it doesn't have the same flexibility as other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competition and does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.
3. Delta Children LX Side by Side
This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are looking for a second stroller that's affordable. It scored well in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions. This means it's lightweight and compact when folded and easy to carry and put in a trunk of a car. It also comes with an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as an adult cup holder. Other features of note include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels and two large hanging storage bags.
It did better in our push and turn test than many of the strollers we tested but is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades on it were among the tiniest of strollers we test. They only cover the top and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.
The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together with an average manual and all of the components required tools. But, it's lacking some essential features that we think you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller for example, a larger basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.
4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1
The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s newest pushchair and is marketed as a travel system for urban use. It is suitable from birth to around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted in only a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-in-car base and a reversible baby carriage.
It's really easy to maneuver and the one-hand recline of the seat as well as the super large shopping basket make it simple for parent-tots to get the child out and in quickly. Despite being a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps with ease and slid through doors without fuss.
The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or allow them to rotate which helps when covering rough terrain. When we walked along the stony path we let them swivel and it did this quite well, although it seemed more bumpy than the other models that we tested.
5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,
Baby Jogger is best known for its three-wheeled, all-terrain, jogging strollers. But they also make a broad selection of pushchairs with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It folds easily and fits easily in the trunk of a car even with an attached carrycot.
It's a little heavier than other strollers we tested however the wheels are made of rubber composite, so it feels sturdy and durable. It is easy to maneuver over various terrains and even with two children, a shopping bag and other items.
The carrycot and seat both come with hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are durable and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers faces.
It doesn't have a lot of storage space, however it does come with a huge basket that's large enough to fit an infant's changing bag and plenty of groceries. You can also pair it with a Baby Jogger car seat for babies who weigh 20 pounds or less (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a excellent choice if you wish to take a stroller on the go.
6. Nuna Mixx Next
When the Nuna Mixx first rolled onto the scene, it instantly captured the hearts of parents everywhere. It's a stroller made of aluminum that can be used from baby's first days to beyond. It's got a few notable features, including the possibility of flipping the seat between parent and world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy, an eye shade that flips out, a spacious basket and adjustable handlebar.
The wheels are tough and filled with foam which minimizes punctures and the chassis has built-in suspension that takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. Our test driver found it easy to push and was able to maneuver it through narrow streets without difficulty.
It folds in just four steps, and locks automatically without fuss. It is also able to stand and be trolleyed for easier transport in the car's boot or down the stairs at home. The travel system comes included with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors that are included. The brakes come with only one action and are color coded. They also work with flip-flops.
7. Babyzen Duet
This budget single pushchair is extremely easy to use and has excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It's also super lightweight and robust. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that is suitable for infants.
The canopy/seat features two large fixed or flip-out sun visors and both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't perfect because it's not as quiet as Velcro and may wake napping babies.
The Duet is a angled stroller that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It can be used with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can be positioned to face each other or can turn around and face their parents, potentially decreasing sibling fights over who should sit with dad and mom. It comes with a big tray for gears with a bottle holder as well as snack trays. It also comes with an automatic frame lock and a superior compact fold.
8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.
The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger for parents who love to be active. It's one of the lightest strollers you can purchase for your child. It also comes with great safety features like five-point harnesses and a secure wrist strap. It has a different type of hand brake than other models that is a twist.
The seat is comfortable and has plenty of room to sit in, but the depth of the seat is less than other joggers we've tested (it's about 10"). The storage bin is secured with a zipper that keeps things safe. It can hold up to 10lbs which is sufficient for most diaper bags.
The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets for infants or car seats as it comes, but you can use it from the beginning by purchasing adapters for the majority of seats made by brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It's easy to fold and put together in 5-10 minutes without any tools. The manual is easy to read and contains a variety of languages.
