Best Roomba Vacuum Cleaner

If you're looking for a basic robot vacuum, but without the features that make other models, this one is a great option. It did a great job picking up pet hair, Cheerios and kitty litter on hardwood floors.

It is fast and accurate in mapping rooms, and it is able to avoid obstacles with ease. It can also be operated manually by using the remote included.

1. iRobot Roomba s9+

The s9+ robot vacuum is the best we've ever tested to clean hard floors and carpets. It has the most powerful suction power of any robot vacuum cleaner on the market. It also does an excellent job in removing pet hair. It can be programmed to perform multiple passes or adjust suction levels depending on the size of the room, something that we haven't seen in other models. The app lets you alter how it works and even decide when it begins working, so that you can be in the room as it's whirring away.

The smart mapping feature can create a detailed map of your home, which can aid the s9+ in navigation and plan efficient routes. It also self-empties, which means it does not require any intervention on your part during the clean, and it's able to return to its original location and recharge during the cleaning (though you may have to hear it return to its dock as it settles in the sound, which sounds like jet engine takeoff). In our testing the s9+ was able to maneuver around obstacles like tables and power cables with ease and did not lose its charge or became stuck. It doesn't have the safety features of the latest models, and could get stuck on rug tassels or other obstacles it isn't able to see.

In contrast to most circular robots the s9+ is flat-fronted and has a squared front that helps it access corners better than rounded models. It's also quieter than the previous irobot mopping robot model we tested and is more compact than the Neato Botvac D7. It's not cheap, but you get a lot for your money considering how well it performs and you don't have to worry about emptying your dirty bin afterwards. It's also usually on sale at Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Amazon Prime Day.

2. iRobot Roomba j7+

The J7+ is one of the most intelligent robot cleaners on the market. It's equipped with irobot deals Genius technology that gives it the ability to recognize obstacles and maneuver around them, which means that you don't have to worry about it hitting into walls or furniture. It slows down when it approaches an item to gently clean its edges. This is especially useful if you own small pets that leave a mess behind.

Another amazing aspect of the j7+ is that it can mop and vacuum, thanks to a special mopsitter. If it senses that you are on a floor that needs to be mopped it shifts to its standard cleaning mode and activates an arm with an edging. It mopped the floor using a gentle touch, leaving my floors looking and feeling like they'd been properly cleaned.

The J7+ recharges itself after it has finished mopping. It then drives to where it left off, and continues cleaning. It runs for about 85 minutes in my home, plus or minus a few minutes. That's less than the s9+, but it's nonetheless impressive for a device that can do both vacuuming and mopping.

Like other iRobot cleaners, the j7+ spots obstacles in its path and eliminates them. It also comes with what irobot self emptying vacuum calls Cliff Detect technology, which keeps it from falling down the stairs. It's an excellent safety feature for families with children.

The j7+ comes with an onboard bin that is small, so it will need to return to the dock and empty itself frequently if you have a large home. The j7+ can be stored easily. The included all-in-one Clean Base acts as a charging dock, an external dustbin, and an internal bin that the j7+ can deposit dirt into.

3. Shark iQ

This robot can vacuum carpets and hard surfaces at the same time. It also has Matrix Clean Navigation, which uses a matrix grid to provide whole-home cleaning coverage. The vacuum emptys itself after every run and you can check its battery life and status with a pair of lights at the top. To empty the dirt receptacle, just push a button that unlatches the bin. It can hold up to a week's worth of garbage, and the process is easy enough to do from anywhere in the house.

This model is impressive on plain floors, but is a struggle on flooring with low pile. It also struggles to hold large amounts of debris when the dirt compartment gets filled. It's sturdy and durable, with a long battery life. You can extend this by using the energy-efficient 'Eco mode'.

The Shark IQ is compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant and allows you to control it using your voice. The app lets you choose the name of your lightweight robot vacuum (mine's Sharky Shark), schedule and remotely start its runs, check your cleaning history, and get alerts for errors. You can create a map of your home and set up zones that are not accessible to the public.

The Shark iQ costs more than the iRobot Roomba j7+ but offers superior app features and mapping, as well as superior performance on all surfaces. It also charges faster and gets stuck on rug tassels fewer frequently, which reduces the amount of time it takes to pay. This model is unable to keep away from pets or furniture. You must use physical boundaries strips to keep the model from these items.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

The Roomba 694 comes with a sleek and elegant design that will complement your home decor. It is a great robot for those looking for a machine they can install and forget about. It identifies your habits for cleaning to offer up personalized schedules, and works with Google Assistant or Alexa voice assistants that enable you to begin cleaning with the sound of your voice. It uses a full suite of sensors to help you navigate the obstacles that surround your home. A smart bumper cushioned the impact when it crashes against furniture legs or walls. Four "cliff" sensors on the front and side let it know if it's nearing the edge of a dropoff, such as stairs or a balcony and it can back away.

This model is a great value in the sub-$300 robotic vacuum category. This model has a three-stage cleaning system that includes a dual multi-surface brushes to get rid of dirt from carpets or hard floors. An edge-sweeping tool takes the care of edges and corners. The robot vacuum also comes with a slew of convenience features such as Dirt Detect, which will automatically is more active in heavily soiled areas. It can also be controlled manually to clean at specific times, and has an app for remote control.

The Roomba 694 from iRobot isn't as sophisticated as the i7, which can self-empty its own dust bin but it lacks a mapping system, nor the ability to create virtual boundary markers. It's still a bit more robust and is less expensive than the more eufy RoboVac G30, has a larger dust bin, charges faster, maneuvers over obstructions such as electrical cords better, and performs better on bare floors and low-pile carpet than the iRobot Roomba 614.

5. Eufy 11s

The Eufy 11s is an incredibly small elegant robot vacuum that provides great value for money. It is able to remove pet hair efficiently and has a large dirt compartment and can last for a long period on one charge. It's not easy to maintain and has issues with navigation. It doesn't have a companion app and voice control, but it does have an easy-to-use remote. It doesn't let you know when the bin is full. You'll need to check it frequently.

The eufy has a number of advantages over the bObsweep Bob Pro however, in certain areas it's not as effective as the iRobot Roomba 694. The iRobot Roomba 694 is more built, has fewer parts to maintain, a HEPA-filter and lasts longer on only one charge and provides better cleaning capabilities for floors that are bare, low-pile and high-pile. It also comes with a smarter navigation system that can maneuver around obstacles and more advanced automation features, such as boundary strips.

The irobot combo Roomba 900 Series is an ideal choice for the majority of users, although the eufy is a good option. The iRobot Roomba 900 Series is easy to maintain, better built, has a bigger dustbin and is more efficient on all surfaces. It's also more efficient in recharge and has a longer maximum battery life.

The eufy robot is also superior to the ILIFE A4s but not as effective as high-end robots like the Roborock S7 maxV Ultra. The iRobot has a higher-quality build, a larger dustbin and has fewer ongoing costs. It also has a smarter navigation algorithm that can navigate around obstacles and has more advanced automation capabilities, like boundary strips. The irobot self empty base is also better at taking in pet hair and it is more easy to maintain than eufy.86844724_7XuA0L9n_b70568dc2b8e225e1a08e75b57528956a620e151.jpg
