The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to map your home.

It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think it's a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on higher-end models and its mopping feature is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a problem when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you have maximum dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, generate minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the hidden bin and cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong, such as low water levels or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create or merge actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or there's some clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, like clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test, picking up debris on both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first go. It can also vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

While these features are great however, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category, which might make it slightly more expensive than what some homeowners need.

The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
