Persephone In Greek mythology is the wife of Hades. She is also the queen of the Underworld. Zeus requested that Persephone not be seen again with him after he enticed her and then took her to the Underworld. This was to ensure their love would last. If she refused, he forced her to take a meal in Hades the House, where he maintained a perpetually bitter sadness in her.
