WoW Upgrades - The
item upgrading Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade increases the item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.
The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for the latter due to the need to roll an exact version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher
item upgrading level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.
You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the item level, but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool using an button, which will display an image of the
Item level upgrade (
daoqiao.net) when it is upgraded if the player has sufficient materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the item and the current
item upgrader kit level. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
A lot of locations offer upgraders for items, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and the chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players finish certain achievements or quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.
In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. After an upgrade has been completed to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This applies even if the items are from a different set of equipment.
The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced too, but it is only available once certain milestones are reached.
Crests
When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a variety of options. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
The first thing to note is that crests can only be used on gear of a specific rank, and each rank has its own requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one requires as many as 20 crests based on the type of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through finishing content at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities, or by taking on dungeons and raids of any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty for endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change lets players upgrade their gear to the highest level possible on all of their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another significant modification is that crests have one use and it's crucial to use them properly. It is recommended to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
